Vineyard Notes
Grapes grown at the Hawkhurst vineyard at Greenock – Western Barossa.
Winemaking
Fermentation was done in a small open fermenter. Aged in new 300 Litre oak barrels - 50% French and 50% American.
Tasting Notes
Greenock is known for full bodied structural wines and this is no exception. Textural tannins provide the backbone but supported by rich berry fruits. Blackberry, black cherry, plum flavours are accentuated by oak derived mocha and vanilla.
Peak Drinking / Cellaring Potential
Still young but able to drink now until at least 2030. Only 800 bottles, each individually numbered.
